Phin S is designed to brew without a paper filter.
The base uses 52 openings, while the central 10 mm area is left without openings.
The filter plate uses a 10 mm opening with a 1 mm raised platform, creating a lower zone where fine particles can be retained.
The system is designed to reduce visible sediment while keeping the brew paperless.
Designed for paperless flow.
The flow system considers the coffee bed, water volume, opening area, hole size, opening distribution, filter geometry and air movement beneath the filter.

Seal & Soak
A starting guide for brewing with Phin S.
SEAL
Close the bottom opening before brewing.
DUAL BLOOM
Wet the coffee bed from above and below.
SOAK
Soak for 100 seconds before opening the bottom.
GRAVITY FLOW
Open the bottom and continue the main pour.
